Michael “Mike” Torres passed away at the age of 67. He was known for being dependable, resourceful, and always willing to help others. He lived life with determination and a work hard, play hard mindset. His sharp and often inappropriate sense of humor was a defining part of who he was laughing and joking until his fight with COPD took his final breath. 

Family meant everything to Mike. His favorite moments were spent with his family, especially sharing laughs and time with his children and grandchildren. Throughout his life he had many passions, he enjoyed playing softball, poker, fishing and was a life long fan of the Broncos.  

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Cheryl Torres. He is survived by his sons, Michael and James; his daughter, Samantha; and his nine grandchildren; and his mother Patricia Durkee. 

A celebration of his life will be held on December 22 from 1-6 p.m. at the Vilas Event Venue 8550 W. 14th Lakewood, Colorado 80215.

He will be remembered with love and be missed by all those who knew him.
