Katharina R. Monski known affectionately as Kathy joined hands with her parents in heaven on March 01, 2026, after a fierce fight with cancer. Kathy was born to Emery E. & Karin M. (Odparlik) Dakin at Fort Patterson Army hospital in Monmouth County New Jersey.

Kathy was an amazing mother, Omi, sister, and aunt, and loved her family unconditionally. She knew she wasn’t perfect but tried her best and did an Amazing Job! Kathy never met a stranger, with her warm and infectious soul. Kathy enjoyed being around people, making them feel welcomed. She enjoyed being carefree and adventurous. Kathy will be dearly missed by so many, she loved doing things for everyone. You knew she always wanted the best for you and loved you.

Ms. Monski is survived by her son Jason Monski (Ashlie Hartman) of Morrison, IL and daughter Jessica Monski (Vinni Bremer) of Colorado Springs, CO. grandchildren: Acacia, Luci, Henry, and soon-to-be born grandson Cypress. sisters: Angelika (Kenneth) McAbee, Veronika (Jerry) Wilcox, Annabell Jacox (Scotty Loper), Natascha (Rodney) Lightfoot, Christina Dakin, and brother Richard (Jennifer) Dakin. Many nieces and nephews whom she cherished as her own; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends all over the United States and Europe.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, paternal & maternal grandparents

There will be a celebration of life to be held on March 14, 2026 at 2pm at 6700 Southmoor Dr., Fountain, CO 80817
