Dan Robinson, 70, Born March 16, 1953 – passed on to be with Jesus December 20, 2023.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, lived there until he was 48, leaving a job at R.R. Donnelly. He joined a branch of Exchange Life Ministries, Colorado Springs, Colorado. That however soon dissolved and he felt the call to start his own ministry. The name, inspired by a close family friend-Hook Ministries.

It took on many forms with things like teaching, mentoring/discipleship, counseling and writing his own material. Later working with multiple state prisons and aftercare.

Our support family not only kept us going over all these years financially but the prayers for our family have left us with no words that can express our hearts to them for devotion and commitment to the ministry an our family.

But Dan was so much more than this!

He’s survived by his wife, the love of his life, Bonnie of 48 years. Just shy of their 50th wedding anniversary come March, 2025. His two daughters, their husbands and 5 grandchildren. They uphold his memory by keeping his passions, photographs and favorite earthly items close.

He had passions, not hobbies, passions. Cooking-from scratch! Mastering the art of sandwiches, Indian food, and Italian,(this was for Bonnie). He had a natural gift towards sketching and music. The trumpet was his instrument of choice. You’d often find him immersed in listening to classical or oldies. He lived a life of prayer and continued education. Once grandchildren came into the picture, they instantly became a passion that he couldn’t get enough of!

His gentle demeanour was a soothing characteristic and many found themselves drawn to him as a result. His sense of humor did much to shape who his family/daughters are today. His daughters are often found goading on a lively atmosphere, often making their mother cry from such belly laughter. This gift he bestowed brought joy while the 3 of them sat vigil as he quietly headed Home. He was often teased it’s a good thing he had girls as he’d not have kept up with them had they been boys. They took his sense for funnies and ran with it! They knew they struck gold when he himself would laugh so hard he’d break the sound barrier with short burst as he tried to regain some breath. The grandchildren have only brought more of this into the world. Laughter and joy, is in no short supply. As he always wanted!

Dan will be greatly missed and forever cherished. His great love, Bonnie, carries what they shared close to her heart. She has upheld their family by minding us,

“It’s not goodbye. It’s see you later!”

Until the other side…

We love you, Dan/Daddy!

Thank you for all you gave, said and blessed us with.
