1968 ~ 2019

Dan Martin Jr. 51, of Colorado Springs, CO, went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2019. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in the comfort of his own home.

Dan (Danny) was born March 10, 1968 in Greeley, CO to Dan Sr. and Rosemary Tovar. He attended schools in Johnstown/Milliken and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1986. He served in the US Army from 1988 to 1990 and took great pride in serving our county.

Danny was a painter and an avid sports fan favoring the Colorado Buffaloes and Denver Broncos. Danny’s known for his annual horseshoe tournaments, playing softball, golfing, singing karaoke, his loud music, raising hell, that “passionate” behavior at sports games and of course who could forget his infectious smile and laugh!

Danny is survived by his father, Dan Martin Sr. (Lupe) and brother Matthew Martin all of Greeley, CO; his mother, Rosie Tovar of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Dariane Martin (Sean Reeder); grandson’s Elijah and Da’Sean; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Service – Friday, August 23 at 11 AM (reception immediately following) at Alternative Cremation:  2377 North Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs 80909

A memorial fund has been created, and checks can be made out to the “Dan Martin Memorial Fund”.  They can be brought to the service, or mailed to Ent Credit Union, P.O. Box 15819, Colorado Springs, CO 80935.

    Zac and I are so sorry to hear hear about Dan. Our hearts are breaking for you, Darien and your families loss. We are so sorry we couldn’t make it it out there for the funeral.
