1957 ~ 2019

Michael P. Alfarano, age 61 passed away peacefully Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Penrose Hospital due to lung cancer.

Michael was born in Massachusetts and was the youngest of five children. He graduated from Melbourne High School in Melbourne, FL and later moved to Colorado Springs, CO where he kept residence for a majority of the past 30 years. He worked as an Electronic Technician for General Dynamics for 20 years.

In his earlier years, his passion was playing in several Softball Leagues in both Florida and Colorado. He also enjoyed playing in Dart Leagues and tournaments in Colorado.  Later his passions gravitated towards photographing the beautiful mountains of Colorado, camping with his wife and friends, as well as his love for cooking/grilling. He was an avid reader throughout his life and in closing, one of many quotes he leaned to during his cancer battle was:

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I WILL TRY AGAIN TOMORROW”

He is survived by his beloved Spouse, Judy Sturm. As well as his Brother, Tom Alfarano; his 2 Sisters, Sherry Alfarano Knighten and Toni Alfarano Jones; Nieces, Christine Fox and Amy Graham; Nephews, Nicholas Alfarano, Corey Alfarano, Aaron Jones, and Joshua Jones; and a host of great and great-great nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent J. Alfarano and Helene N. Alfarano along with his oldest brother Vincent Jr.
