Mack Douglas Jr. was born to the late Mack Douglas Sr and Lee Anna Douglas August 3, 1941. He departed this life on June 23.2021 to join his heavenly father, parents and siblings Freddy Douglas and Thelma Holmes. Mack accepted Christ into his heart at an early age. He was a devoted member of the New Prospect Baptist Church in Detroit MI for much of his adult life. Graduating from North Highland High School in Prattville, AL Mack joined the United States Army to serve his country shortly after graduating during the Vietnam War era. He was always very proud of his time he spent in the service. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Mack moved to Detroit and attended Lawrence Technical Institute while working for General Motors as a foreman and ultimately upper management before retiring after 30 dedicated years. Mack and Jerlene were wed in 1971 and rewed in 2016. They moved to CO shortly after they remarried to be closer to their grandchildren as they graduated from High School. Mack always enjoyed Sunday drives, ice cream and dancing to Motown classics with his grandchildren and daughter-in-law. He always had a story to tell about his time in the military, growing up in AL and the auto manufacturing industry. Mack is survived by his wife Jerlene Douglas, three children Mark Douglas (wife Liane), Shari Harris, and Marcus Douglas (wife Cindy), 12 grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts and cousins; in addition to a wonderful church family and friends.
