Craig Herbert Knapp passed away on June 19, 2026 at the age of 56. He was born on November 13, 1969, in Denver CO to Terry and Karen Knapp.
Craig was the middle of three brothers and grew up in Colorado. He later moved to Phoenix AZ where he attended the DeVry Institute of Technology from 1989 – 1991. Craig pursued his interest in computer programming, building on a natural curiosity for technology and a lifelong love of computers.
After college, Craig returned to Colorado and made Colorado Springs his home for the remainder of his life. Here he began taking karate lessons with his brother. After many years of study, he earned a second-degree brown belt in Kenpo Karate in 2018.
Craig married Deanna Williams on October 21, 1998 following a brief engagement. Although they did not have children, their golden retrievers held a very special place in his heart and brought him great happiness. He leaves behind two of them, DeeDee and Solomon.
Throughout his life, Craig faced significant health challenges with resilience and determination. Whether working with computers, practicing karate, caring for his dogs, or spending time with family, Craig found purpose in the interests and relationships that shaped his life.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, and friend. Craig is survived by his wife, Deanna, and his brothers, Chris (Cara) Knapp and Ted (Marjorie) Knapp. He was preceded in death by both parents.
