Jesus (Jess) Cosyleon was born September 24, 1946 in Colorado Springs and entered eternal life on June 14, 2026. Survived by his wife Martha Linda Cosyleon of 37 years and sons Jason Cosyleon and Javier (Lisa) Cosyleon and siblings Bonifacio Cosyleon, Prudencio Cosyleon, Maria (Frank) Arteaga, Severo II (Jerri) Cosyleon, and Patricia Cosyleon (Jose Hernandez), numerous nieces and nephews, and in-laws from Loveland, CO. Growing up in Pueblo he was the oldest of six children and a graduate of Centennial High School. He enlisted in the Army and was later honorably discharged in 1970. Jess then went on to obtain Bachelors and Masters degrees. He pursued a career in counseling highlighted by heading up educational programs for Spanish Peaks Mental Health and worked with LULAC. But his passion was the outdoors, his family and his heritage. He will be remembered for taking his dogs near daily to the reservoir for long walks or camping trips with family. He took pride in his yard and was known for his green thumb. He cherished simple moments like enjoying sunsets from his back patio and listening to his musica ranchera where he often sang along to songs he liked. He enjoyed running road races even up to the age of 68. He took pride in passing along the values, heritage, and culture from his parents onto his sons, nieces and nephews and was always generous, kind, and giving. He possessed a keen sense of humor and quick with a witty comment. But more than anything else, he was always there when you needed him. A mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Pueblo, CO Wednesday July 1st at 10:00am. A reception follows at the Parish Hall at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
