Jane C. Nettleton of Colorado Springs died peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026 with her family by her side. Family is what mattered the most to her. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Carolyn (Emery) Anderson of Cary, NC, Nancy (Roy) Whitehouse of Colorado Springs, CO and Ann (Sandy) Coleman of Park City, UT: six grandchildren, Chris (Sharolyn) Schofield, Sharon (Josh) Begin, Eric (Mallory) Coleman, Liz (Eric) Simmons, Michael (Melissa) Schofield and David (Allison) Anderson :twelve great grandchildren, Liam and Khaya Schofield, Zoe, Anders, Aly Jane and Ember Begin, Hadley and Maeve Coleman, Nate Simmons, Brian Schofield and Luke and Bryce Anderson. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edward M. Nettleton, her parents, Hobart and Amy Cornwell and her siblings, Hobart Cornwell and Peg Reynolds.

The family would like to express thanks to staff at The Bridge at Colorado Springs and Bloom Hospice for their compassionate care of their Mom and Oma. Special thanks to Nancy Whitehouse for her hands on, selfless care of her mother since she moved from Virginia in 2020 and in Virginia prior to that.

The family had her 100th birthday party planned for July where family from all over the country planned to gather. She was two months shy of that big milestone birthday and proud to be nearing it!  The family gathering will still take place with a family celebration of her life. In the future, her ashes will be scattered in Midlothian, VA by her husbands at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer which was their church for many years.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Bridge at Colorado Springs, Bloom Hospice, Grace and St Stephen’s Episcopal Church or Go Team Therapy Dogs.
