Daniel “Dan” Kurt Spenner, 66, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on February
9, 2026. He was born on February 23, 1959, in Germany.
Dan worked as a plumber by trade. Although knee problems limited his ability to
continue in the profession in later years, he carried the grit and skill of his trade
throughout his life. He was known for being mechanically inclined and capable, able to
work with his hands and take on a wide range of practical projects.
From 1999 until around 2023, Dan made his home in Montana. While living in Townsend,
he built a small cabin-style home himself, preferring a simple and self-reliant way of
living. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a particular interest in cars and
trucks, as well as riding motorcycles and ATVs. He also appreciated time spent along the
California coast and visited the San Diego area over the years.
He is survived by his sister, Carolyn; his three children, Justin Spenner, Erin Hutchinson,
and Jason Spenner; and five grandchildren, Carter, Adeline, Jack, Sophia, and Ruby.
No services are planned at this time.
