Jeffrey E. Benedict
April 22, 1968 – October 27, 2025
Jeffrey E. Benedict, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home on October 27, 2025. He was born on April 22, 1968 in Moline, Illinois to Larry and Karen Benedict.
Jeff is survived by his mother Karen Benedict, and his siblings: brother, Timothy Benedict, and sisters, Lisa (Shawn) Cadwell and Wendy (Jim) Benedict Martellaro. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Taylor (Blake) Roush, Bryson Benedict, Chezla (Kevin) Madson, Jeszica (Taylor) Underdahl, Shayne (Matt) Robak, and Jayden Martellaro, his soulmate Max, along with several extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Benedict, and his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Jeff’s life was centered around his family, his beloved cat Max, and his friends. He took great pride in his service in the United States Navy and was a proud member of the American Legions. He was a dedicated supporter of wolf preservation efforts.
Known for his generosity and compassion, Jeff was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He had the ability to talk your ear off and put a smile on your face. He also celebrated many years of sobriety and was an active supporter of Alcoholics Anonymous, encouraging others along their journeys.
At Jeff’s request, cremation has taken place.
Gravesite Details
Jeff’s final resting place will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Colorado, where he will be honored with full military rites. Date and time of service will be announced once finalized.
