Herbert Brody, 89, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2025, after a life well-lived. Born July 4, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, Herbert was a devoted husband, father, and avid hiker. Throughout his life experiences he served as an elementary school teacher, group therapy counselor, entrepreneur and business owner, and author of “The Unkosher Truth”. His larger-than-life persona inspired countless others to push the boundaries of conventional wisdom and share their light with the rest of the world. Herbert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elaine, his two children Jill and Doug, and his son in law George. A dedication to his life will be held on September 29, 2025, at Alternative Cremation, at 2377 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Red Cross.
