Lawrence was born December 11,1939 to Fannie Fairis Porter and William David Reble. He died June 14, 2025.

Lawrence was proceeded in death by a sister Connie and a brother William. He has survived by siblings, Virginia and Timmy.

Lawrence was a fledgling member of the Hanover Community Church who contracted polio at a young age. This caused many injuries and classified him unable to perform military duty.

Lawrence graduated from Hanover School and attended Blair Business College.

Lawrence married Frances Louise Day on February 5, 1960. They had three children: Geraldine, Russell, and Katherine. He leaves seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Lawrence was an active member of the Colorado Springs SDA Central Church, helping with the construction of the church and served as a deacon and an elder.

Lawrence was also a founding member of the Hanover Volunteer Fire Department. He invested his own money, time and supplies to build the initial fire station and was able to serve his community for 36 years.

Lawrence worked for W. D. And Fred Harding, drilling water wells using a sputter rig.

He had several miscellaneous jobs as a delivery man for Perkins Motors and at General Pump Company as a pump repairman.

Lawrence was employed by the City of Colorado Springs in the Electric Underground Department and retired after 34 years as a line crew foreman.

After retiring, he was an operator for Mountain View Electric and a pick up man at Dan’s Trash Company.

In February 2021, he was diagnosed with a grade 2 meningioma brain tumor which was partially removed. In December 2024 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Stage four.

In late April 2025, he fell, breaking his back and survived yet another surgery. But ultimately, Cancer caused his death.

Lawrence had an incredible sense of humor. He was loved by all who survive.
