Gary Wayne McCarthy, 65, died April 12, 2017.
Gary was born March 8, 1952 in Norfolk, Virginia to Robert Allan and
Susie Elizabeth McCarthy.
He graduated from Kempsville High school in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He spent the majority of his life in the Norfolk, Virginia area.
Gary was a hardworking humble man who loved to fish and
watch the Atlanta Braves and Washington Redskins
He enjoyed helping others with home improvement projects
and the occasional family poker party.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Ann McCarthy,
his three sons Robert Thomas McCarthy, William James McCarthy,
and Brian Keith McCarthy, his sister Susan Diane Hurst,
and 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
One of my favorite memories was when I sat in his chair and he gave me the glare. I started to giggle and slide out of his seat rather quickly. I always enjoyed my visits when I was younger. Well, except when he was beating me at cards. Love you always Gary.
