Janie Vicenta Bass (Lucero) beloved wife, mother, sister and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 2nd, 2025 at the age of 63 in Pueblo, CO. Janie was born to parents Paul Lucero and Norma Jean Lucero.

                  Janie was born on November 16th 1961 in Chula Vista, California. She grew up in California loving the ocean as well as soft ball, she graduated from Bonita Vista in 1980. Janie then moved to Beulah, Colorado to be with her mother and father, there she discovered the true beauty of the mountains and fell in love with them. She was a whiz at computers, was a huge mentor as a coach of baseball and loved doing things for her small community wether it was haunted houses or fundraisers. Janie loved spending quality time with family sharing stories and just making others laugh. She was truly an amazing and extraordinary person who would put up a fight against anything.

Janie is survived by her husband Thomas Paul Bass, and their children Thomas Paul Bass II, Gene William Bass, Samantha Faye Bass, Jack Lucero, Barbra Bass, and many nieces nephews and cousins.

                  The loss of Janie is deeply felt by all who were blessed and fortunate enough to know her. She will be mourned not only for her kind spirit but the wisdom and joy she left behind. A celebration of life will be held on November 29 at 712 23rd lane Pueblo, Colorado from 2pm-6pm.
