Carol L. (Jaynes) Reinhart, much-loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed from this life peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, after a brief and sudden health crisis.
She is survived by her daughter Adrienne (Jason) and son Neil (Grace); her grandchildren Dylan, Kiera (John), Gavin, Kyle, Kaitlin, and Isla; her sister Debra (Pete); honorary daughter Misti and her children Michael and Matthew; and numerous cousins, friends, family, and loved ones who will carry her memory forward.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie “Babe” Jaynes and Janetta “Bonnie” (Eye) Jaynes; Aunt Barbara Eye, who was like a second mom to her; her sisters Marilyn and Karen; her brothers Kenneth, Jerry, and David; Aunts & Uncles.
Carol’s life was filled with creativity, warmth, and laughter. She loved painting, creating family holiday calendars, and exploring her family’s history through genealogy. Above all, she treasured time spent at home on the prairie, where she felt most at peace.
Family and friends will forever remember her for her homemade frybread, a comfort and tradition that brought everyone together for birthdays and holidays. Equally memorable, though for very different reasons, was her sense of adventure in the kitchen. The infamous “shrimp cocktail spaghetti” earned a permanent spot in family lore, a culinary experiment so unforgettable that it became a running laugh for years to come. Carol herself laughed the loudest at these stories, often with a chuckle and an eye roll, embracing both her triumphs and her flops with humor.
Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the traditions she carried, and the joy she spread. She will be deeply missed and joyfully remembered by all who knew her.
A private celebration of life will be held on the ancestral prairie “homestead” she so deeply loved and where she spent her final years.
Carol was a devoted animal lover. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to your local animal rescues.
