It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our brother Gabriel Avery Savoie, Jr. (Gabe) in Colorado Springs, CO.  

He was born on March 22, 1947 to Dorothy L. Thompson Savoie and Gabriel Avery Savoie, Sr. in Biloxi, MS. He valiantly served his Country with two tours of duty on the Mekong Delta during the Vietnam War. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Rufus N. Savoie and Michael J. Savoie also his brother-in-law, Drew A. Remillard.  

He is survived by his daughter Lara Savoie of Canyon County, CA; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, two sisters, D. Diane Remillard of Grants Pass, OR; Gail E. Connole (Greg) of Sylvania, OH; two brothers A. Scott Savoie (Gloria) of San Clemente, CA and Tom Thompson (Theresa) of Clarendon, TX; two Sister-in-law’s, Renee Savoie of Simi Valley, CA and Helen Savoie of Galveston, TX; his aunt Bernice Fucci of Clarendon, TX; cousin Nolan Savoy of Central LA as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Gabe was a hard worker who once owned a carpet and flooring business.

He was always willing to give a hand to anyone that asked.  He will be missed.
