Brandon Daun Gehrer, 47, of Calhan, CO. and former longtime resident of Lamar, CO, passed away peacefully, at his home, with his wife and children by his side, on May 28th, 2025.
Brandon was born December 3, 1977 to Gary Gehrer and Leona McCarty (Caddick) in Ulysses, KS. He worked in construction for more than 20 yrs, was an avid outdoors man and graduated from culinary school in Rapid City, SD. Brandon was best know for his kind heart and boisterous laugh and smile. His presence filled a room with so much joy and laughter and he will be greatly missed. He was a man of quite strength and deep love for family and friends, whom he cherished above all else. He found joy in the simple things in life, casting a pole in the water, camping under the stars, and making those around him laugh and feel loved.He was a devoted husband to his wife of 28 yrs, Jineen Gehrer ( Hernandez), a loving father to his children Gena Padilla ( Troy), Son’s Eric ( Shelly) Pulido, Jesse (Kylie) Pulido, Cody (Aubrianna) Gehrer and Dyllan Gehrer. Doting grandfather of 10 to Alexiana, Braylee, Rigo, Sebastian, Haven, Kassidy, Lucas, Kaitlin, Jesse Jr, and Luxton. He also leaves behind his dad, Oran McCarty of Lamar, CO, Sisters, Shawn Gehrer of Plano, TX and Misty Zavala (Joe) of Lamar, CO. Brother Casey Gehrer, of Lamar, CO, and numerous neices, nephews, cousins and other family members as well as a host of friends.A private celebration of life, with close family and friends, will be held at a later date. In lue of flowers, the family asks that you honor Brandon and spend a day outdoors.
