Richard Patrick Conway
June 11, 1950 – March 26, 2025

Richard Patrick Conway was born on June 11, 1950, to Norbert and Phyllis Conway. A beautiful blue-eyed boy, he was the fifth of ten children in a lively and loving family. The Conways were a close-knit unit, bound together by a strong work ethic, sharp wit, and a deep sense of compassion for others. Growing up in this large, hardworking family, Richard learned early on the values of perseverance and kindness.

Alongside his family, Richard built and operated Conway’s Red Top, a beloved restaurant that became a cornerstone of the community. Known for its delicious burgers and warm, welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant was a true reflection of Richard’s dedication and passion. He was not only a brilliant businessman but also a kind and caring owner who took immense pride in providing a place where people could come together and feel like family.

Richard was a natural-born performer, with a flair for the dramatic. His beautiful singing voice was one of his most treasured gifts, and there was no one who could sing “Ave Maria” with more emotion and grace. Richard was also incredibly intelligent and had an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. He loved engaging in long, thought-provoking conversations, often diving deep into the mysteries of life.

He possessed a deep compassion for all aspects of the human condition, honed through his own personal struggles and experiences. Despite the hardships he faced, Richard never lost his ability to persevere, and his strength was a testament to his character.

His two children, Sean (and his wife Noelle) and Emily (and her husband Ben), brought him his greatest joy and pride. He loved them deeply. Richard is also survived by his five beautiful grandchildren — Briella, Colette, James, Hunter, and Charlie.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Phyllis, and his sister, Patty Jo. He leaves behind his ex-wife, Katie Rogers, as well as his eight beloved siblings: Mary Kaye, Mike, Cathy, Lynne, Dan, Jim, Dennis, and Kelly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends, all of whom will miss his larger-than-life personality.

Rest easy, Dad. We love you.
