On September 25, 2023, Seth Michael Lash, age 38, unexpectedly said goodbye to this world and those he loved while at work doing what he loved.  He graduated from Mitchell High School, Colorado Springs, CO, where he lettered in football, wrestling and swimming.

When Seth was 5 years old, looking out an airplane window at the ramp agents loading luggage he said, “That’s what I want to do when I grow up.  I want to work with airplanes!”  Seth worked for SkyWest Airlines for six years.  He joined United Airlines in 2012, where he worked on the Ramp Service Move Team towing aircraft.

His deep love for his daughter was evident throughout her life; spending most of his time with her and family members.  He was an avid football fan and Duke University basketball supporter.  He collected movies and watched his favorites over and over again.  Even as a child, he could recite the script of “Top Gun” word for word.  He loved to travel and favored observing airplanes, taking pictures of airplanes, identifying airplanes, talking about airplanes, watching airplane movies, and probably dreaming about airplanes.  He departed this world doing what he loved most, other than spending time with his daughter.

Seth had a smile so infectious others smiled in his company and his compassionate heart and kindness were shared with many.  His life was filled with meaningful relationships and unforgettable moments.  He will be missed immensely by all who had the fortune of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately.  The family invites you to celebrate Seth’s life in your own special way.  Expressions of sympathy or remembrances may be made in whichever way you wish or to United We Care employee relief fund at www.unitedwecarefund.org.
