Dr. Charles C. Woyda

Dr. Charles Claude Woyda, a dentist and longtime Colorado resident, died on February 20, 2022, in Colorado Springs, Colorado from complications due to COVID-19.

Charles is survived by his wife Vicki, and her son Patrick, by his brother Paul, his wife Lana, their daughter Sophia, and their son Will, and by his sister Ann, her husband Dave, their son Daniel, and their daughter Elizabeth.

Charles was born on September 9, 1953, in Elk River, Minnesota to Dr. William Woyda and Dorajane Woyda.

Charles (known by family and friends as “Charlie”) moved to Colorado after obtaining his dental degree at the University of Minnesota, where he established his own dental practice in Colorado Springs which spanned 35 years.

His dental patients remember him as gentle, caring, and compassionate who always had their best interests at heart.

Throughout his professional life he was active with community volunteer work.  Charlie brought his care to many underprivileged people, particularly teenagers and young adults in Colorado and Nevada.  He also was a life-long financial supporter of The Boy Scouts of America.

Charlie was a devoted husband who loved spending time with his family.  He especially enjoyed white-water rafting trips with family. Charlie and Vicki enjoyed hiking and skiing in the Rockies, and also pampering and playing with Aspen, their Golden Retriever.

Charlie’s niece, Elizabeth, remembers her Uncle Charlie as “the sweetest and funniest guy”.  He showed great empathy and compassion toward others and possessed an amazing sense of humor.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, patients and all who knew him.
