In the presence of his wife, sister, and nephew, Scott D. Field, age 52, was called to his eternal resting place in Heaven with Jesus on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 6:59 am. Scott was the youngest of 5 siblings born in Cheektowaga, NY. He resided in Falcon, CO since 2004. He is survived by the love of his life, Kathy Field, and their two children Makenna and William, two sisters Susan (John) Huntz and Diane (aka Di Di) Field, two brothers Douglas (Joette) Field and Thomas (Tracy) Field, , along with many nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Margaret Field.

Scott loved his family fiercely. He was an incredible husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He would turn friends into family and had the truest, largest heart. He also loved his dogs and cats, and would spoil them daily. He was larger than life and everyone knew when he walked into a room. His energy was contagious. He always had the biggest hugs, largest smile that lit up his eyes, sarcastic remarks (“I’m from NY, I do what I want”), and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved to cook and his barbeque skills left everyone wanting more, especially his signature rotisserie turkey on the grill at Thanksgiving. He loved to fish and camp with his family and friends, and find new places to visit.

Scott was an amazing electrician by trade, and was so proud of where he worked. Scott was also a precise woodworker, and dabbled as a welder, plumber, and tile installer. He designed and built many things in and around his family’s home, along with their camper which started as a toy hauler. He had a talent for making projects “simple” and would think into the future to make things easier to fix or transport down the road. He loved keeping busy, always had some project he was working on, including designing their retirement home.

He has touched so many lives over his 52 years and will be missed by so many people. No one will miss him more than his soulmate Kathy, his daughter Makenna, and his son Will. Rest now, Scott. You are reunited with your parents who left you too soon. We know you will be looking out for us here on earth. Until we meet again. “Life is short, life is earnest, when it’s cold, turn up the furnace”. “It is what it is”.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Meridian Point Church, 5450 N. Meridian Rd, Peyton, CO 80831 on Saturday, November 20 at 12pm. There will be a live broadcast on the church YouTube channel, and we will post the link on Scott’s Facebook page.  The family asks that if you would like to share a memory you have of Scott, please post those on his Facebook page on Saturday, along with a picture of you toasting him.
