Jeff Bellew, 55 of Colorado Springs, after a long hard fought battle with cancer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Jeff loved to travel, to explore new places. From the Pacific to the Atlantic, the cold tundra of Alaska to the sunny beaches of Florida and Mexico, he would relish the the places he went, whether it was going to the typical tourist spots, learning the history of the area or happening upon something special on a road less traveled. One of his favorite memories was driving through the English countryside with no particular destination, getting lost, and then finding a quaint town built on a ridge around the ruins of a medieval castle.

His multitude of hobbies and interests fed his curious mind, model trains, karate, hockey, learning to play the piano and always documentaries on history, how things were made as well as many others.

A huge movie fan, not only of the big blockbusters, but also those small indie quirky films. Gangsters, the Mafia and Zombie/Apocalyptic/End of the World were some of his favorite genres!

He loved his pets and spoiled them rotten, always said that they ran the house.

Jeff was born in New York and grew up in California. But even though he was not a native of Colorado, this became his home. He loved the mountains, trees, the endless sunshine and even the intense thunderstorms with their wonderful lightening shows.

He leaves behind his wife, Harriet; mother, Peggy; brother, Kenny; sisters, Pam and Nancy; niece, Amelia; stepmother, Sharon; stepbrothers, BG and Damon; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John; both his maternal and fraternal grandparents; 2 maternal aunts and 2 fraternal uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held in California on October 2, 2021.
