Gordon Allen Merrick (1/4/1932), son of Gordon  R. and Nelouise Wood Merrick and Nancy Louise Bott Parr Merrick (3/1/1937), daughter of Margaret and Perry L Parr and Margaret and Watson C. Bott, were partners  of love in life, celebrating 56 years of marriage  On January 21, 2020 and now  for all Eternity.

They leave behind to cherish their memories their beloved daughter, Megan L. Merrick and Son Trevor Merrick.  Gordon was predeceased by his parents and daughter Nancy Jean Richner.  Gordon leaves behind his bother Roger Bruce and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Nancy was Predeceased by her loving husband Gordon, her adoptive and biological parents, half-sisters Florence Stiner, Emma Stiner, Leaving behind her half-sister Marjorie Smith, her biological brother Watson V. Bott.  She had many nieces, Nephew, both great and great, great!  She was very excited to have two families!

His main interest in music, and in the Masonic Fraternity, Revelation Lodge 190, Royal Arch Chapter #1 in Denver where he is a Past High Priest, Gaines Greene Council, and Denver Commandery #2 Knights Templar. The Denver Consistory #2 and had been in Al Kaly Shrine.  Other organizations where he has presided (Past Patron) in Order of the Easter Star in Frankfurt #1 , Frankfurt Germany, Pikes Peak Ct. #20 (several times) & Liberty Ct. #1, order of the Amaranth as Royal Patron, He also served as Past Watchman of the Shepherds at Damascus#1 in White Shrine of Jerusalem. He was also active in Rosicrucians Research Lodge in Denver area. Nancylou was active in Pikes Peak Court #20 and Liberty Court #1, Order of the Amaranth, serving as Royal Matron five times at Pikes Peak and twice at Liberty, as well as holding may other offices. She was a Past Matron of Star of Germany #1 in Frankfurt, Germany and also served as secretary of that organization for 3 years and is is a member since 1965 in Unity #97 which is now Loyalty #145 and had been a dual member with Centennial Chapter, #58 of Colo. Springs. She also served as Worth High Priestess in Damascus Shrine #1, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem in Denver. She is a member of  Denver Assembly #1, Social Order of the Beauceant, and Past President of Pueblo Assembly #11, Social Order of the Beauceant.  She founded Colorado Springs Collie Rescue program in 1988 and found homes for collies needing new homes, and found collies for people wishing to adopt one. She was also a member of  Collie Club of America, the Collie Club of America Foundation and former local and state Collie Clubs.  She also had many other hobbies, such as photography, fashion and interior design and creating, quilting, needlework or all types, creative writing and gardening.

Services will be at the Evergreen Cemetery (9:00 a.m. for Masonic Rites) and 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow.

Tributes may be made to First Presbyterian Church Legacy Foundation, Grand Court of Colorado Order of the Amaranth (OofA) and in memo field ADF  and to one of the Masonic Charities .
