1949 ~ 2020

Michael P. Rondeau, 70, died 10 January 2020 in Pueblo CO from the effects of life long smoking. He spent his final days in the Joni Fair Hospice House, Pueblo, CO.
Michael was born in Arkansas. As a child Michael’s family lived many places throughout the county, finally settling in California; he attended San Dieguito High School, in Encinitas, California.
Michael served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Saigon. After his discharge he married Jeanne in 1971 in Denver Colorado.
He received his bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from New Mexico State University. He completed a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management at California Costal University.
Michael’s engineering career included jobs in many industries and several states. He thoroughly enjoyed and treasured his co-workers and reveled the opportunity to work with the best and brightest. He finished his working life at the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant, retiring in December 2018.
He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Mable (Perez), brother Jan Francis and sister Elizabeth (Terral).
Michael’s steady presence and wry humor will be missed by his wife Jeanne and daughter Jessica, who survive him.
The committal service will be 11 February 2020, 10:00 am at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. SHERIDAN BLVD., DENVER, CO 80235. If you plan on attending advise that you arrive early and find the procession starting pointing. Ft Logan has many services everyday and so each service must start on time.
