Judy Lynn Bounds was born on February 28, 1957 in Pittsburg, PA to Ellie and Clifford “Red” Brundage Jr. She graduated from Rockmont College in Denver with a BA in education. At Rockmont, she met Randy Frost and they married on November 26, 1980. They bore two children, Jenny and Phillip and pastored in Colorado, Montana, and finally in Kearney, Nebraska for 5 1⁄2 years before going on the road full time in music ministry and moving back to Colorado. Two years later, Randy lost a 7 year battle to lymphoma cancer.

Under God’s direction and providence, she married Kasey on December 18, 1993 and they continued to raise Jenny and Phillip in Colorado Springs.

She was known to many as simply mom. She gave the best hugs, the kind that wrap around you and fill you with the warmth of care and love she exuded. She was a ready listener full of God given wisdom and patience and would always feed or make a cup of tea for anyone who dropped by her home. She mentored countless individuals throughout her lifetime. She looked for ways to include people and saw the value in each person.

She loved to create in the kitchen and see life budding in the garden and would often use lessons from these as illustration points as she shared her faith. Although she loved to travel and create, her greatest passion was worship: singing, dancing and playing the guitar. The reality of heaven was near her during her life.

Judy was a partner and the administrator for all of their businesses, she built deep and meaningful relationships with their clients to whom she was a friend and confident.

Even to the end her bright blue eyes shown the love of Jesus and she was filled with joy. She never feared the future. Throughout her illness, her joy peace and faith never diminished. While walking through the last 9 months, Judy never complained. She continued to love and care for those around her. She stood on a profound understanding of the goodness of God even in the midst of incredible pain and uncertainty. She is survived by her husband, Kasey; daughter, Jenny Herndon (Robert Jr.); and son, Phillip (Maria). Sister, Diane and brother Jim.
