1957 ~ 2019

Thomas M. Greiner, age 62, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 at Penrose Main Hospital.

Thomas Martin Greiner was born April 19, 1957 in Colorado Springs the son of Martin and Verlee (Vincent) Greiner. He graduated from Wasson High School in 1976 and began working at Perkins Motor Company alongside his father. After leaving Perkins, Tom drove a tow truck for several years. He most recently worked for Colorado Springs Dodge. Growing up Tom was very involved in stock racing both locally and on the NASCAR Circuit. He was a member of the Pikes Peak Range Riders and for 10 years, one of his duties was for the wellbeing of the rodeo queens. Tom had two great passions, one of which was being the honorary historian for the Chuck Wagons of the West Association and the other tracing the genealogy of his family.

He is survived by his sisters Shirley (Jim) Day, Lori (Gary) Hessel; nieces Sarah (Jeff) Fuss, Heidi (Craig) Cooper, Abigail (Michael) Siegel; nephews Joshua Hageny and Timothy Law.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Marty & Verlee; and his sister LuAnn Law.

A time of gathering will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Colorado Cowboys for Jesus Church at 11 N. 22nd Street, Colorado Springs with a Celebration of Life following at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Vern Thomson with music provided by Vern Thomson and Joe Stephenson. Tom will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Keota, IA.
