James Dean Bostwick, 67, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed June 9, 2019.

James “Jim” was born to Morris and Lois Mae (Gum) Bostwick, September 5, 1951, in Dodge City, Kansas.

He is survived by his 2 children: son, Sean (Raquel) Bostwick of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Shannon (Pat) Younkin of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Gary (Karen) Case of Centennial, CO; grandchildren Hailey Bostwick, Colorado Springs, CO; Lana and Logan Younkin, Colorado Springs, CO;  cousin Karla (Danny) Havel and numerous nieces and nephews in Texas.

He was preceded in death by Lois Case, (Mother), Dale Case (Stepfather), Morris Bostwick (Father), Michael “Mickey” Bostwick (brother) and Arlo Case, (brother).

James grew up in Limon, Colorado where he attended Limon High School and excelled at basketball.  After high school, he moved to Oklahoma and attended the Oklahoma School of Business.

James spent his career in financial and consulting roles, but his true joy was spending time outdoors.  Participating in triathlons, playing basketball, golfing and fishing were some of his greatest joys.

However, if you asked him nothing came close to the joy, he felt on “family game night”.   He was a great athlete, cook and father and an incredible grandfather.

A family gathering for a memorial service will take place at a later date when all can attend.

He loved and was loved and will be missed.

Memorials are suggested to be sent to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
