Royce Dean Mills passed on December 31, 2018 11:50 pm in Hospice care at Penrose Hospice Colorado Springs. Due to stroke complications. He leaves behind a loving Daughter Elise J Mills , a son in law Adam Cather, and there Daughter Brooklinn Cather. Son, Z’avon Washburn , Benjamin M Mills, Noah Allen Taylor ,. Royce had two sons Christopher Royce Mills his three children , Colin, Carter, Cameron Mills. and Joshua Dean Mills , his children Grayson , Austin, daughter Brooklynn. All residing in Portland Oregon. His sister Lenora Howard , brother in law Richard Howard , and two nephews Ricky Howard and James D Howard. All living in Hawai’i.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sharlene Shirey parents Dareld D Mills, Sherilyn R Mills. Grandparents Kenny Stevens , Ruth Stevens,. Paternal grandparents , Egdul Mills, Aline Mills .
Royce was my hero said his sister, he always looked after me as kids. And the best mother- Father a man could ever be to his children. He was a hard working man, his trade was Fencing, our father raised him to be a provider at Mills Fencing Co Victorville California where he learned a life long trade and was the best line man there was for his trade. He went on to teach his nephew Ricky how to build fence in Ashland Oregon where he met the love of his life Sharlene Shirey. They built a fence for her and it was ❤️ love at first sight. Thirteen years they had together. His son in law Adam said , Royce was a great man who loved his Daughter very much. They were once lost, but then found. It was the love of friendship he had for people, you could not explain it by words, but could only see it with your eyes. I could say a lot , not many people would agree, but in my eyes and in Jehovah’s eyes Royce might have changed to a more humble man out here in Colorado. They say his eyes lit up when Brooklinn his granddaughter walked in the room. Or the smile came across his cheeks . It seemed like he could finally call or have a place to call Home. In the short time I knew Royce he was great to us. Much love always from our hearts with his Colorado family. We all love you and will truly miss you. Psalm 37:29

To any one who reads this , Royce was a true soul searcher and the sweetest man i ever met. I have truly been looking for him for years just to say hi and see how him and his sister were doing.Today is a sad day to unfortunately find this but happy to hear Lenora name who i know loved her brother very much. I am so glad he found love , ii would like to tell anyone interesting was growing up together he was popular and handsome, his dad was just as handsome and he had a twin brother the three of them were so Kool compared to most of us had dorky dads but Daryl and Gerald were way stylish and from them i feel he inherit his special charm. it is sad that i never found him again but i am so happy to hear that he was loved. peace to all susie
