Rudy Vigil Sr

Rudy Vigil Sr, 71 years of age of Alliance NE, formerly of Del Norte, CO, fell asleep in death on Saturday November 24, 2018, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He rested his hope in Christ’s promise that the “meek will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5) and that there will a resurrection of the righteous…. (Acts 24:15) Rudy believed there was a better chance of the sun not rising in the morning than Jehovah not keeping his promise of the resurrection.

Rudy was married to his wife Linda for 53 years and they had four children Dahanna, Rudy Jr (Kathy), Ricardo (Staci) and Michael (Sonia). He is survived by five grandchildren, Seth (Elizabeth), David, Keenan (Roxanne) , Isaac and Da’Nesha (Devan). They all share His same hope and look forward to being reunited with him.

Funeral services will be held Saturday Dec 1, 2018, at 1:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 819 E Vermijo Ave Colorado Springs CO 80903.

  1. Rudy’s smile and faithfulness are truly appreciated not just by his family and friends. He made a good name and stood for our God Jehovah. We miss him now and know that his hope of the resurrection will soon be realized.

  2. What a legacy Rudy, a faithful servant to the end, left behind. His entire family all serving Jehovah. What a name he made with Jehovah! Although l haven’t seen Rudy for decades (1982 to be exact) l still can look back fondly of those years we had book study in he and Linda’s home. I will never forget his warm, wonderful, positive personality he had. His smile, his laughter and sense of humor. We shared many times times in field service. One in which Linda reminded me of that l had completely forgotten. The last time l remember speaking with Rudy was when l moved back to Sacramento, California. 1997. I believe that he and the Family, were living in Colorado. He had one experience after another experience, to share with me. I can still remember as I hung up the phone I was so encouraged, but, that’s what Rudy did! He always encouraged others. I am so sorry for Linda and the entire family, as I know your pain is beyond belief right now. Please know that I am praying for all of you, and that you might find comfort in our Great God Jehovah who comforts all those in need. I am just as confident to quote Rudy’s words, that there is a better chance of the Sun not shining tomorrow the than Jehovah not performing The Resurrection. Soon, he will hear Jesus words” Rudy, come out!” What a glorious day that will be! At some point in time it will be closer to the time we see him again, then when we last saw him. This is not a period to Rudy’s life, it’s merely a comma. May you find comfort in Jehovah’s promises that were expressed at his memorial. Job.14:14,15. John 528,29. John 11:43. Yes, thank you so much for providing the tie line, so that I could listen in even though I was not physically able to be there.

With much love and heart felt sympathy,
    Your friend and sister.
    Maggie Nagel

  3. Hello my friends. I did not have the privilege of knowing you when I live in Colorado Springs. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family. Love you Agape (Psalms 34:18)
