Sabrina E. Magraff

1963~2017

Sabrina Magraff was at the prime age of 53 when she was called up to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. She passed on June 4, 2017 while in the loving care of Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born December 4, 1963 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the her father, the late Earl Mickens and her mother Florence Mickens.

Sabrina grew up in New Orleans, LA.  She was such a bright young lady, at only 16 years old, Sabrina graduated from Francis T. Nichols High School in New Orleans, LA. Sabrina was a loving woman with a spirit after God’s own heart. Along with her talents of knitting, singing, and drawing, she could brighten a room with just a smile. Sabrina loved music, dancing, and laughter. She could change any mood with her uncontrollably  infectious laugher. Sabrina was intelligent, loving, and talented.

Sabrina is survived by her mother Florence Mickens, her ex husband Dwayne Anthony Magraff Sr., together they shared 3 wonderful children Laquan, Dwayne Jr., and Jai, as well as their 2 amazing grandchildren Sheryce and Gabriel, as well as her brothers Earl, Jeff, and Tyrone, and a host of family and friends.

Her funeral service was held at Harvest Time Redeeming Ministries, 500 Columbine Dr., Fountain, CO by Pastor Theodore Johnson at 9 AM on Wednesday June 14, 2017. The family would like to give a special thanks to her beloved nurse Deborah at Memorial Hospital, Erica from Pikes Peak Hospice who sat with her through her last moments, Pastor Johnson for the special home going service, and her doctors and friends. Sabrina’s memories will live on in the hearts of many and she will be missed dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Harvest Time Redeeming Ministries at 500 Columbine Dr. Condolences may be left on Sabrina Magraff’s online guest book at www.CremateColorado.com

I wrote a letter up to God today
    I wrote Him a letter because I couldn’t pray
I wrote Him and then I wrote you
I could think of anything else I could do
    I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t cry
I didn’t even write Him to ask why
I wrote Him so he’d care for you
Give you love and big hugs too
It even made me kind of smile
To know that He’d just hold you for a while
I miss you more than you’ll ever know
Hopefully in my success it will show
I asked God to give you ton of kisses
Because most of all i know it what you miss
You amd paw paw take care of each other
And I promise to check on your mother
Wait patiently for me until I arrive
I have a few more things left so I survive
We’re all doing well mom so please don’t worry
We won’t be leaving here in a hurry
I love you and I always will
It’s now time for you to rest and be still
God has read you my letter I can tell
Because things have been going well
