Donna Tilmon

1950 ~ 2017

Donna Tilmon, 67, was granted her angel wings on October 13, 2017 after losing her battle to stage 4 uterine sarcoma.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Donna had touched in so many ways throughout her life.

Donna was born April 18, 1950 in Pueblo, Colorado to Alfred Wallace and Frances Emojean Tannahill.  Donna was a devoted mother to five children and a loving Don to twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Over the years Donna was like an adoptive mother to her children’s friends.  Donna also had several nieces and nephews she adored.

Donna is survived by her children Anthony Tannahill, Antoine Tilmon (Louisa Tilmon), Daniel Tilmon (Torre Tilmon) and Tyneika Thomas (Greg Thomas).  Her grandchildren Alaura, Antoine II, Adriana, Deijonae, Acie, Ariona, Tyree, Kani,  Ayonna, Toriel, Delaney, Davonte and great grandchild Micaiah.  Her brothers Gerald Paity, Michael Paity and her sisters Crystal, Rosemarie Paity and Diana Goodwin.  Donna is preceded in death by her mother Emojean Paity, brother Clifford Paity, and her daughter Diana Tilmon.

Donna enjoyed caring for, loving and playing with her grandchildren which all held a special place in her heart.  Donna also loved being around her family and friends.  Donna always had a smile on her face that lit up the room and almost always, strangers became friends.  Throughout Donna’s life she touched many people’s lives, she had a heart of gold and always would lend a hand when needed and an ear to listen.  Donna was known for all the wise words she shared with others.  Donna’s children, grandchildren and great grandchild were the utmost importance above all else and she was their biggest supporter.

A memorial service will be held for Donna on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11 am, at Alternative Cremation, 2377 N. Academy Blvd in Colorado Springs.

To the Family and friends of Donna Tilmon…I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Donna. I had only known her a short time, but in that time, I found her to be the loving, caring, and one of a kind person, you described. The one absolute thing I knew was that she loved and adored her family. Please know that I will be keeping your entire family in my prayers. I know, without a doubt, that the many wonderful memories you made with your Mom, Sister, Grandma and friend will carry you through this very difficult time.
