Josip Alexander Madjar 1942~2017

Josip Alexander Madjar, 75, resident of Colorado Springs, CO passed away on Saturday October 14, 2017. Born in former Yugoslavia (now Croatia), in a farming village called Mali Miletinac, on Febuary 27, 1942. Josip immigrated to the United States in 1969. He married his wife Susan in Los Angeles, CA in 1971.

Josip is preceded in death by his father, Šandor, his mother Aleksandrina, his brother-in-law Branko Bucifal, and his grand nephew Alexander Bucifal. He is survived by his wife, Susan, his son Jonathan, his daughter Julie Ana, his son Shandor Edward, his daughter Jennean Frances, his son Josip Martinand three grandchildren Jonathan, Rashen, Zaniel.

He also leaves behind: his sister Zlatica Bucifal, his brother Rudolf Madjar (Vesna), his sister Ana Piumetti (Mario); his nephews: Franjo Bucifal (Slavica), Josip (Vera) and Aleksandar (Snezana) Bucifal, his niece Anita Madjar, his niece Domenica Piumetti, his nephew Pietro Piumetti, and his nephew, Mario Piumetti, and his many grand nieces and nephews: Silvo Bucifal, Branko Bucifal, Eva Bucifal, Stefani Bucifal, Kristina Bucifal, and Peter Bucifal.

Josip is loved by his wife, children and all of his family, for whom he dedicated and worked his entire life. Born in the midst of World War II, he survived the loss of a kidney at the tender age of one. Losing his father at the age of eightonly encouraged his determination and strengthened his character. Chasing his childhood dream, he immigrated to America in 1969, struggling at first but ultimately succeeding in his own businesses. He never looked back. He will be remembered for many things: his achievements, his personality, his ingenuity (he could fix anything) but above all his kindness and generosity. He raised five children and was always there for them. His family was his life and always his first priority. Their needs were always met. He will be dearly missed and loved, without end, through the memories of those who are left behind.
