Jolene poured her love deeply into her family, especially her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, and those she adopted through friendships, who held a special place in her heart. She was a proud and loving godmother to Anthony Sablan, Lorenzo Flores, and Serianna Mossman. She also embraced her nieces and nephews, including Anthony, Tosha Romero, Raylynn Romero, Zorene Romero, and Elijah Romero, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews Zyella Romero, Xavier Forest, Aleena Sablan. Yajaira Villareal, who were each touched by her love in their own way.
Jolene will be remembered for her laughter, her confidence, and her larger-than-life personality. She was strong-willed, fearless, and unapologetically real. She lived boldly and on her own terms, and she had a way of making every space feel open, welcoming, and full of life. Her home was a place of gathering—filled with sleepovers, celebrations, and moments that brought people together in joy.
She had a gift for making life feel alive. She loved to dance, filling any room with energy, laughter, and movement. Her humor, confidence, and vibrant presence made time with her unforgettable. Jolene also had a creative and generous spirit that came naturally to her—helping others take care of themselves and feel beautiful and confident through doing eyebrows, hair, or simply offering encouragement and conversation. She had a bold sense of confidence and a way of encouraging others to feel good, look good, and own who they were. She was an amazing cook, especially known for her cheesecakes, which became a favorite treat to receive or share with her.
She will be remembered as someone who loved deeply, lived fully, and showed up in life exactly as she was—funny, bold, stubborn, kind, and real.
She is forever remembered, forever loved, and forever missed beyond measure.
And forever, she remains exactly as she always was—our HBIC.
