Rusty Jay Finn  passed away peacefully at home on January 31st 2026

Born January 9, 1960, to Bernard W Finn (Bum) and Barbra F Shean in Utica, New York. Rusty was raised in Manitou Springs and spent his life in Colorado .The last 15 years of Rusty’s life were spent in Palmer Lake CO. Rusty was married to Sharlene Seffers for the past 15 years and together they lived in Palmer Lake CO . 

Rusty is survived by his wife Sharlene, a son Russ Simpson and his two dogs Tanner and Sandy who he loved very much.

Rusty is also survived by his brother and sister:

Todd Michael Finn (Kueker) of Pueblo West, Colorado married to Shelly

Vicki Sue Hipsher-Strole of Mason City, Iowa

Rusty is also survived by Katie McKeever,  Cody Finn, Crystal Warren, Barbi, Rebecka Mora, Brian Perkins, Blane Perkins, and many more nieces and nephews. 

Rusty worked very hard as a Sub-Contractor specializing in landscaping, house painting and whatever his friends and neighbors needed. Rusty never knew a stranger and made friends with everyone. He would be ready at all times to help whenever someone was in need.

Rusty loved working on vehicles and swapping vehicles to always get something faster, cooler and better…

Rusty worked many years for Abuzz Property Management and was loved by all the residents and took such great pride in his work.

Rusty lived life to the fullest and helped his brother for many years on the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb, and the Colorado Hill Climbs.  Rusty also was an avid fisherman who loved to fish and brag about catching The Biggest, The Most and in the Fastest amount of time. 

Rusty will be missed by many and remembered for  his love of family and friends. He lived life to the fullest.
