Philip J. Appelhans
April 27, 1954 – November 6, 2025

Philip “Phil” J. Appelhans was called home to be with the Lord on Novem
ber 6, 2025, at 2:37 p.m. He was born on April 27, 1954, in Sidney, Nebraska, to John and Learra Appelhans.

Phil is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Katy) Appelhans, and his daughter, Sheena Berry. He was a proud grandfather to Hannah (Zach) Simonds, Madeline Appelhans, Felicity Appelhans, and Clara Appelhans, and a great-grandfather to Genevieve Simonds. He also leaves behind his sister, Laura (Ron) Overeem, and brother, Patrick (Baerbel) Appelhans.

Phil will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a devoted father, brother, and loving grandfather whose love, humor, and kindness touched many lives. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and
