Dana Kathryn Merrill Groskinsky, born February 21, 1958 (67) of Colorado Springs, CO peacefully passed away to be with her heavenly Father October 2, 2025 at Fountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Dana was the beloved mother of Daniel Jens Wensien and Sarah Jeanne Louise Wensien, sister Margaret Esselman (Mike), brother Daniel O’Brien Merrill (Rosamund). Preceded in death by husband Philip Groskinsky, daughter Carla Kathryn Marie (Katie) Wensien, father Daniel Edward Merrill, mother Arlyn Jeanne Krause Merrill, sister Elizabeth Jeanne Merrill Talley.  

Dana was a grateful believer in Jesus Christ and was dearly loved by her Celebrate Recovery forever family and her church family.  She brought joy and encouragement to all she encountered, spreading her love of Jesus Christ at every opportunity.  

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  She will be interred with her late husband Philip Groskinsky at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
