In Loving Memory of Lisa Christine Cook

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Cook, who left her physical

body on her birthday August 26, 2025 at the age of 55. She was a cherished Wife, Pops,

Pma, and friend. Her love, kindness, smile and laughter touched the lives of all who knew

her.

Born on August 26, 1970, in Duncan OK, Lisa graduated from Cyril High School in Cyril OK

and pursued her calling in nursing early in life. At just 19, she became a Licensed Practical

Nurse then later a Registered Nurse. Over the course of 36 years, Lisa dedicated herself to

the nursing profession. After a family member was on hospice, her true nursing passion

was born. For 17 years, Lisa served as a hospice nurse, o ering comfort and compassion to

patients and their families during the most vulnerable time in their lives. She often said, “If I

can prepare just one patient, spouse, son, daughter to what is coming, then my work has

been done.” Her words reflect the heart and soul she poured into her work. Lisa’s legacy of

empathy, strength, and unwavering dedication will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Lisa is survived by her spouse, Jenn Cook. Her children: Khaymon Ray & Katahna Swank,

Hannah & Rylee Brown, Hunter Ray & Jalista Castillo, Mack James, James & Audrey Garcia,

Jayson Garcia, Jenae & Martin Padilla, Paul Lubin, Levi Lubin. Her Grandbabies: Oliver &

Oakley Brown, and 7 other Grandchildren. Her Siblings: Lee & Jamie Cook, Joyce & Andrew

Wilson, Jennifer & Randall Hatcher. Uncle, Murray (Speed) & Cheryl Savage. As well as

many dear friends and extended family members who will miss her greatly. Lisa waspreceded in death by her parents Patricia (Pat) White and J.L. Cook, as well as several other

Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

A service to celebrate Lisa Cook’s life will be held on October 25, 2025 at 2pm, at Garden of

the Gods Trading Post event center. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her

life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Abode Hospice, or Mill

Dog Rescue of Colorado. Both were dear to Lisa’s heart.

Lisa has certainly left a legacy and will be remembered for her love and laughter she leaves

behind. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
