Monika Everett beloved mother, grandmother and aunt unexpectedly passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 80. 

Monika was born on January 18, 1945, in Nuernberg, Germany to Fredrich and Emma Birkner. She married David Lee Everett on September 11, 1962, in Nuernberg Germany.  

Monika is survived by her son Michael Everett (Elaine), grandson Eugene Everett, granddaughter Cassandra Maldonado (Clay), great granddaughter Anna and great grandson Christopher, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband David Lee Everett, son Dale Everett, grandson David Michael Everett and boyfriend Will Morrison.  

Monika worked in the Electronic Industries for 30 years, then worked as a home care provider for 8 years. Monika also volunteered at the Senior Center and Silver Key for several years.  

Monika was an avid reader, one of her favorite authors was Heather Graham. She loved gardening, playing cards with friends, watching Murder Mysteries on German TV. Monika enjoyed gambling online and in casinos throughout the country, like Las Vegas, Illinois, Cripple Creek, Blackhawk. 

Monika’s passion in life was always helping others. She lived a wonderful life and will be missed by all who knew her.  

A celebration of life will be held on August 1, 2025, burial services at 10:00 am at the Evergreen Cemetery at 1005 Hancock Express Way Colorado Springs CO 80903 and reception at 11:00am at the Hillside Community Center at 925 Institute St Colorado Springs CO 80903.
