Zola TERRY Owens passed away on May 21, 2019. Zola lived a rich and joyous life filled with friends from every walk of life.
Zola was born February 2, 1932 in Washington DC. She was preceded in death her beloved husband Walter and her parents Herbert and Flossie Terry. She is survived by her two daughters Patricia Owens and Lynne Owens, and by her sister Jean Grant .
I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Owens family, Colonel and Mrs. Owens, along with their daughter Patricia welcomed me into their home in the 1980s while I served in the United States Army. They were dear friends who become like family to me, and I regret that the years have made us distant but I’ll not forget their generosity of spirit, so well exemplified by the matriarch, the incredible Zola Owens.
