Barbara LaLone

1952 ~ 2019

Barbara Jo LaLone, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 66 on May 3, 2019 after a valiant fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Barbara was born on July 8, 1952 in Denver, CO to her loving parents, Floyd and Norma Ewing. She was raised on a wheat farm in eastern Colorado where she discovered her love for kittens, enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets on the prairie and exploring the wide open space of the farm with her sister Diana and brother Neal. After graduating high school, she earned her associates degree and went on to be a business administrator for a small school district in Modesto, CA the majority of her career. On April 7, 1989, she married the love of her life, Ron LaLone.  Together they lived and loved well. They enjoyed spending time together with family and friends and loved going away on vacations. She had two children, Sean and Shannon, whom she loved very much and was always there for them in good times and bad. She was a devoted and loyal wife to Ron and they supported and loved each other through everything. She enjoyed reading, bird watching, walks, traveling, spending time with family and watching her grandchildren grow. Her love and strength, as well as her devotion to her family and friends, will be remembered always. Barbara is survived by her husband Ron, her son Sean, her daughter Shannon, her mother Norma Ewing, her sister Diana, her brother Neal, her stepchildren: Dave, Randy and Lisa; and her grandchildren: Hailey, Lana, Logan, Hunter, Hannah and Abbey along with countless other relatives and loving friends. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Friday, June 7th at 1pm at Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs, CO with a reception to follow at the church.

  6. Dearest Ron,
I just discovered your loss of Babara. I am so very sorry, so very very sorry. Just know, as I do, that the mate to go first is the lucky one. I know how wonderful Barbara was. and, from firsthand knowledge, how you are suffering. I still love and miss Bobby…the love of my life and I his. I am glad you were in our wedding. I would like to make contact with you if you are amenable to that. My email is janielee123@yahoo.com and my phone is 562-522-0011. Contact me if you wish. We have a lot of mutual memories of both Bob and Barbara.
Hoping to hear from you. In Christian love, Donna
