Lloyd Curtis Harsha was born February 13, 1960, to Jack and Marie Harsha in Albuquerque, NM. As a young child he moved to Rock Springs, WY, where he was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 8 years old. He also lived in Evanston, WY and Gainesville, GA. At the time of his passing he had lived in Fountain, CO for 16 years.
Lloyd married Katie Smith on July 6, 1998, in Evanston, WY. He was a truck driver for 28 years. It wasn’t just his job, it was his life! Lloyd enjoyed trucking as well as his animals. At one time he had 14 horses! He also had many dogs, one of his favorites being Cinnamon, a red Chow Chow.
Lloyd was known for his personality. He had a big heart — he always wanted to help those he could. He also had a great sense of humor, so he was always teasing and joking with others. Lloyd was passionate about everything Native American He particularly enjoyed wolves and horses. Lloyd’s favorite meals included German chocolate cake, coconut cream pie, polish sausage and potatoes, and any chocolate that belonged to Katie.
Lloyd passed away on March 18, 2019. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Katie; his horse, Shadow; and his dogs, Dude and Cali. He also leaves his son, Warren Jack Tate; his nephew, Dave Barnum; numerous other family members; and many close friends.
I love you daddy. You will never never be forgotten… Your memory will always be with me.. I miss your mischievous smile, your twisted funny sense of humor and the time we spent together.. Next time I go fishing I will do it in your memory and will release them all.. Thank you for the time I did get to spend with you it will not ever be forgotten.. My wife Missy will also be missing you.. You gave her time with you that she didn’t get with her dad.. She considered you like a father to her.. She loves you very much and your memory will always be with her.. Thank you for the time you gave me before you left this earth.. May you rest in peace and finally be at peace..Dude misses you also and he will always remember you too. He sends his love with the rest of us.
