Christopher (Chris) Putzi, 60, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away October 4, 2025 from a severe, short term illness, along with other underlying chronic health issues.

Chris was born June 25, 1965 in Santa Fe, NM, grew up in Tucson, AZ, then moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 1998.

He met his best friend and love of his life, Carol, in high school.  They married November 1, 1983, raised a beautiful family, and shared a life built on faith and incredible love.

Starting at the age of 7, Chris worked on his adoptive parent’s (Ann and Roger Putzi) rental houses and apartments.  He eventually started his own successful business(es) of handyman/remodeling services (Repairs Etc.), flipping houses, and was owner/landlord of many rental properties.  Working on houses was his greatest passion.

Chris enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, working on vintage cars and hot rods, music-attending many concerts with his wife and friends.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan/owner and liked watching and attending football games.  He had many beloved dogs throughout his life and enjoyed doing many activities and traveling with them.

He was a generous supporter of Cheyenne Village of Colorado Springs, the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, the Mayo Clinic, Toys for Tots, our veterans, and many charitable organizations. 

Chris’ spiritual faith was very strong and he was very active in his church.  He was on the church council and elected property manager.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Amy Sandager Putzi.

His son, Jeffrey Christopher Putzi.

His daughter, Heather Carol Putzi.

Grandchildren- Marlow Putzi, Anastasia Putzi, David Putzi, Joshua Putzi, and Sarah Petersen.

Sister, Lori (Matt) Folks Michalak (nieces Brooke, Bethany, Addison)

Preceded in death by his parents Larry Folks and Linda Boyd.

Chris was known for his generosity, hard working, fun and outgoing spirit – he was loved and respected by a multitude of friends, family, customers,and employees.  He leaves behind beautiful memories, evidence of his amazing craftmanship on hundreds of homes and locations, and a loving legacy for years to come.

He will be dearly missed!
