Stanley John Preston Hassler

November 15, 1947 – January 14, 2024

Stanley John Preston Hassler was born in Burlington Washington on November 15, 1947 on a small farm. He was a Military Veteran and served from 1965-1968. He served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze service stars and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. While he was in the military, he was located in St. Louis Missouri. Once he got out of the military, Stan moved to Colorado and had his two children. Stan married Eileen Hassler on October 1, 2007. During their marriage, they lived in Texas, Minnesota, and then moved back to Colorado. He had three grandchildren. Since then, he was blessed with 7 great grandchildren. Two of the seven great grandchildren haven’t been born yet. 

Stan is survived by his loving wife Eileen Hassler, Children: Son Andrew Hassler (wife Carrie Hassler), Daughter Nicole Hassler, Grandchildren: Mayah Hayne ( husband Dustin Hayne), Tyler Hassler ( wife Sammi Hassler), Michaela Vasquez ( husband Nicholas Vasquez), Great Grandchildren: Anthony Vasquez, Joanna Hayne, Azekial Vasquez, Holden Hayne, Leo Vasquez, Kennedy Hassler and Baby M. Also survived by his brother Buddy Hassler ( wife Barbara Hassler). 

Stan had the most contagious smile and snidely laugh. He was a public servant and very involved with the school board for district 8. He touched everyone he met and will be greatly missed. 

We will have a memorial service in summer at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
