Bobbie Lee Velasquez, 69, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on January 12, 2024. Bobbie was born on January 28, 1954, and was known for his funny and friendly personality, beautiful smile, and culinary skills. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his sons Donimo and Carlo Striffolino, daughters Rosalind (Rosalee) Thomas and Victoria Martinez, brothers Vincent, Danny, Billy, Joseph, and Alex Velasquez, sisters Henrietta (Carlos) Nadal, Betty Martinez, and Shirley Velasquez, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bobbie was preceded in death by his father Tony Velasquez, mother Carrie Velasquez, son Johnny Velasquez, brothers Melvin and Gene Velasquez, and sisters Carmen “Sister May” Trujillo and Maryann Velasquez. In his free time, Bobbie enjoyed drawing and visiting Cripple Creek.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Bobbie’s life
