Daniel R. Diggs (Dan), age 67, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2023 after a short illness. He was born and raised in Waukegan, IL and moved to Colorado Springs, CO over 25 years ago. He loved being able to see the mountains every day as well as all of the hot air balloons.

He is survived by his cherised and loving wife, Barbara (Barb) of over 36 years and will be terribly missed. They had a special relationship/marriage that very few people get to experience; family and friends have said it was a true fairytale relationship, and they were a perfect fit.

He is also survived by his sisters Pat (Jim) Mayberry, Vicky Galati; brothers Bill (Irene) Diggs, and David Diggs. Also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents William King and Wanda Ruth Diggs, and his brother, Jerry Diggs.

Daniel was a devoted, loving, and wonderful husband; great son, brother, uncle, and cherished friend to many, his loss is felt by everyone and will be truly missed.

He was employed by Skyline Products in Colorado Springs, CO.

He was a lifelong motorcyclist, car enthusiast and collector; also member of the Stockers Car Club of Colorado Springs for many years and will be missed by his friends in the club.

He was also devoted to his fur children who also preceded him in death; Sam, Bear, Callie, and Stormy.

From his wife, Barbara, chorus of the song, Love Me, which he always said was one of his favorites because it reminded him of them.

If you get there before I do
Don’t give up on me
I’ll meet you when my chores are through
I don’t know how long I’ll be
But I’m not going to let you down
Danny, wait and see
And between now and then
Til I see you again
I’ll be loving you,
Love, me

Soar high, my darling love, you are now free.
