Shirley Helen Kelley

On Sunday, January 10, 2021, Shirley Helen Kelley, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at the age of 78. She passed peacefully at home under the care of family and New Century Hospice. Shirley was born on July 22, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts. Shirley lived an exciting full life experiencing many adventures and creating lifelong friendships. She loved riding down the road on the back of a Harley, and was even featured in a magazine modeling Harely Davidson clothing. Her adventures always brought her to the water and to the beach, her favorite place to go. She put all of herself into her family, as a great homemaker, and friends as she loved so fiercely. Shirley loved hosting any kind of function for her family and friends. Shirley was proceeded in death by her father, Alverdo Whooten, born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Her mother, Helen Labute, born in Dedham, Massachusetts. Her son, Thomas Kelley, born in Boston, Massachusetts. Her daughter, Christine Kelley, born in Boston, Massachusetts. Shirley is survived by her son, Robert Kelley of Tarpon Springs, Florida. Her son, Michael Kelley and his wife Beverly, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her brothers Wellesley Whooten and his fiancée Katie Gilfeather of Assonet, Massachusetts and Paul Whooten and his fiancée Joanne Rydings of Middleboro, Massachusetts. Her sisters, Jeanne Saya and her husband Michael of Hanson, Massachusetts and Patricia Fandel and her husband Paul of Mulberry, Florida. Shirley is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is incredibly loved and so missed.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Kindred at home Foundation in Shirley’s name. Services for Shirley will be decided later.
