(1959 – 2018)

 

Michael Kevin (Mike) Gorman passed away peacefully at home in Palmer Lake, Colo. on July 15, 2018. Born January 2, 1959, in Wellington, Kan., he was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse L. Gorman, Jr. and Karin E. Enberg; brother Mark Gorman; second wife, Lesa Fontecchio; and stepson Jason Duden.

On April 2, 2011, he married Frances J. Wahrer who survives him.  Mike spent many years as a millwright working at many Colorado companies and was a proud member of the Carpenter’s and Millwright’s Union, 1607.  He was known for his love of the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and for attracting hummingbirds to his deck.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Fran; daughter, Andrea Gorman of Indianola, Iowa; son Jeremiah “Jere” Gorman of Denver, Colo.; stepdaughter Christina Duden of Centennial, Colo.; stepsons Christopher (Alina) Gallahar of Broomfield, Colo., and Nate (Shadé) Gallahar of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one step-great grandchild, siblings David (Sarah) of Miami, Ariz., Paul of Elkton, Va., Steve Gorman of Castle Rock, Colo., and Michelle (Ken) Williams of Liberty, Mo., many brother- and sister-in-laws; nieces and nephews; and friends.  He will be dearly missed by his dogs Sage, Smoke, and Austin (Mahone).

A celebration of Mike’s life is being planned at Vaughan Lake, Meeker, Colo. in June of 2019. Arrangements are being handled by Alternative Cremation, Colorado Springs, Colo.
