Jared Douglas Brown, age 32, entered heaven on September 4, 2017 after a life-long
battle with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a genetic disorder that affects the respiratory and
digestive system. He was surrounded by family and friends upon his passing in
Colorado Springs, CO. Jared was born in Lancaster, CA on March 2, 1985 and
graduated from Sherman E. Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest, CA in 2003. He
spent much of his life enjoying the outdoors. He loved riding and racing motorcycles,
hunting, fishing, driving cross country in his Ford pick-up truck, training and playing with
his dog Magnum, and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for
his colorful spirit and zest for life along with his strength and courage living life with the
daily challenges and hardships of CF.
Jared was preceded in death by his Uncle Charlie (Charles Dewane) Pridgen,
Grandmother Hazel (Pash) Engle; Great Grandparents Pauline Pridgen Lemons, Henry
“Doc” Pridgen, Jessie “Susi” Sanders, Nelson & Violet Pash; Great Aunt Juanita Dump,
Great Uncles William “Bill” Dump, Reece Stansberry, and Edward “Eddie” Montgomery.
He is survived by his parents Kimberly & Chris Mullin of Colorado and Nelson & Missy
Brown of Texas; brothers Christopher Brown (along with girlfriend Jessica Hennessy
and her son Hayden) of Ohio, Chad Mullin (along with wife Amanda and daughters
Reese & Regan) of New York, Tyler Mullin of Florida, Cameron Carranza of Texas, and
Jonathan Gordon of Texas; sisters Jordyn and Cylen Brown of Texas; grandparents
Charles & Carol Pridgen of California, Wally & Shirley Mullin of California, Robert
“Robby” Brown of Texas and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and
dear friends.
A Celebration of Jared’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:30am
at the following location:
