Pam Martin, 64, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs.

She is survived by her two children, daughter Rebecca Crawford and son-in-law, Scott Crawford of Colorado Springs, CO, son Greg Plemmons and daughter-in-law, Dana Plemmons of Tellico Plains, Tennessee. She has 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and many close friends.

Born and raised in Haywood County, North Carolina, she is the daughter of Frankie Phillips, and the late Clifford Phillips, sister, Lisa Gibson and family, and 2 brothers Lonnie and Ronnie Phillips of Waynesville, North Carolina.

Pam graduated from Tuscola High School in 1972 and after starting a family she went on to college to become a public accountant which she worked as for most of her adult life until later retiring in Colorado Springs. During her career she was active in the local election board and was also a member of the Women’s Business Assoc. Pam loved to tell stories about her childhood and experiences of growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She loved to cook, attend church, and watch the old classic TV sitcoms. She was a sweet genuine person with an amazing infectious laugh. Pam was also a wonderful mother and grandmother, and was never too busy to lend a listening ear. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her!

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs for their caring support and wonderful care in her final days.
